I just listed these two ACEOs on eBay. The first one is one of our cats Temmy. I like the intense gaze in both pieces. To see the listings, click the image.
As you can see in these paintings, the pupils of domestic cats are slits while big cats have round pupils like people.

Hi Akiko, I especially love the tiny reflections in the snow leopard's eyes. One thing I find a challenge is to portray animal hair when it is angled 'head-on', and you did it beautifully in both of these.

Dean, I agree; you don't want to mess with this snow leopard. However, Temmy (the cat on the top) is also deadly in my house. lol

Both of these are gorgeous.
Akiko, these cats are superb. Your standards are always so high and so consistent. I don't think I could ever sign anything using this level of accomplishment as a gauge...but it gives a worthy target if anyone chooses to aim this high.
Akiko - Your paintings make me miss the cats we used to have! We are all allergic now, and have to make do with our bunny, but as hard as he tries - He's just not a cat.
You've so inspired me to get busy on practicing cat drawings..these are beautiful, just like all your others.
