I've been busy...

Hi everyone! I have been pretty busy with my work for the last couple of weeks and will be for the next three months. Although my work does not leave me much time to do anything else each day, I feel fortunate to have this work in this economy.

I apologize if I don't stop by your blog and leave comments or update my blog as frequently as I want to. As soon as I finish my current work project, I will be back in painting and blogging and doing whatever I like.

I would like to share with you this painting that I did a few weeks ago.

Size: 5 x 5 inches
Medium: Acrylic
Support: Ampersand Gessobord

I used my airbrush for the background to get the blurred effects. I can't do anything more than just creating blur with my airbrush, but it's always fun to use it.

Simply gorgeous Akiko - I love the airbrushing effects. One of these days I will have to get an airbrush kit, everyone seems to achieve the most beautiful results. All the best with work :)

When I first saw the picture I was going to ask if you used airbrush for the background but I see you've answered my question, lol. It is so beautiful, Akiko! I love the way you paint fur, and of course the eyes are wonderful!

Love the airbrush it accentuates the details you put on the animal :) Don't work so hard!

Glad to hear you have work. Sometimes we have to take some of that on. Looking forward to whenever you're back.

beautiful effect, Akiko. It's nice to see the indicated background against the detailed fur.
Will miss you, but sure understand. I'm finding it tough to make blog rounds and paint these days, too. Glad to hear you have work! :-)

Another masterpiece, Akiko. It's hard to imagine that anyone could ever attain the mastery of creating the animal realism that you have. And I know what you mean by being busy and not bing able to blogvisit much. Once again, great work.

Very soft looking and strong at the same time.
