Sleeping Hunter

Size: 8 x 10 inches
Medium: Acrylic
Support: Hardboard

Details:
This is our Hunter sleeping on his favorite blanket. Several years ago, I painted him from the same reference photo, so this is another version and I like this one better. Doesn't he look happy?

Older cats sleep a lot, maybe 20 hours or more a day. Hunter is now 14 years old. I'm thankful that he is quite healthy other than his chronic asthma for which he uses his inhaler twice a day with my help.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

A very sweet sleeping portrait of Hunter. I had no idea how much older cats sleep!

Such amazing detail Akiko. Having done his portrait and studied his face so closely, I have a special place in my heart for Hunter.

I want to live at your house! I can't imagine anyplace in the world where I'd be allowed to sleep 20 hrs./day! :) Gorgeous portrait of Hunter, Akiko!

Hunter looks so sweet and happy! My cat Boomer is 16 and sleeps a lot, but she does like to get up to check on things and sit on my lap.

Although I have never met Hunter, he holds a special place in my heart. I treasure the painting of him I have.

Your Hunter looks like my Harry - aren't Ginger kitties so full of personality? You are very sensitive and, obviously a kind person. I love your work, and wish you every success!
