Size: 3 x 3 inches
Medium: Acrylic
Support: Multimedia Artboard
I have not painted miniatures for a while, but worked on this little piece over the weekend. This will be one of the paintings to be shipped off to Fredlund Gallery in Florida that invited me to participate in their upcoming miniature art show.
Since the rule of a miniature is 1/6 scale or under, I really have to learn to paint on smaller supports and "breathe" while painting. lol

How lovely to see you back doing miniatures Akiko - you are a master at them!!! This one is so beautiful and I wish you all the best at the exhibition :)
Well, you do remarkable work while holding your breath! :)
Je comprends que vous soyez obligée de travailler en apnée en peignant sur un si petit format et de surplus une si belle créature que ce léopard... Sublime travail qui mérite d'être exposé. Bisous
Je tenais à vous remercier pour vos gentils commentaires.

Beautiful work and congratulations on the invite to this show!
Akiko, Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've admired your work for a long while now and love your miniatures.
I ADORE that French Bulldog. What a cutie!
Oh WOW! 3"x 3"! All that detail astounds me! Such a beautiful Snow Leopard. They have always fascinated me. Gorgeous work as always.
Great piece Akiko! I had to smile about not breathing while painting! And lately, I'm not breathing while photographing the paintings either!
Wonderful
work
thank you for sharing
You've deftly captured the ferocity, wariness, and the magnificent beauty of this Snow Leopard all within a remarkable nine square inches.
This miniature is so perfectly painted. As usual, your work is breathtaking. Good luck at the exhibition!!
