Portrait of a Mystery Artist

Size: 6 x 6 inches
Medium: Acrylic
Support: Ampersand Gessobord

This is a portrait assigned to me as the year end challenge in DSFDF run by amazing artist Karin Jurick. I don't know who this person is, but apparently he is working from my photo. I just want to say that he is much more handsome in photo than this painting. Hope he would like it. I would love to exchange paintings.

UPDATE: I've found out that this is a very talented artist Tom Pohlman. I'm so thrilled to exchange portraits with him. What a great news to start the new year. (January 1, 2009)

Akiko, You hit a Grand Slam! I know who it is too. He's new to DSFDF. He painted some mighty fine boots last week. Your portrait skills are positively stunning. I can't believe you said you were just an animal painter! I love it Akiko. Absolutely Fantastic! Makes me smile just looking at him.

Alice thank you for your compliments! I'm glad that you think it's good. To tell you the truth, I feel much more relaxed painting animals than people. Don't feel comfortable being stared back when I study the subject. You guessed right, I am very shy. OK, who is he?

Not "good" Akiko, I wrote "stunning"-Big Difference! He's a cowboy... and a very lucky one at that, to draw you from the hat.

Akiko, I really don't think there isn't anything you can't paint beautifully! I'm terrible at people!
