I just love Ginger Megs, so cute, and I appreciate too the curl and rhythms of his kitty fur and whiskers against the background in this one.

Lol, very sweet description of Curt's office manager. Powerful big cat eye. Going over to watch Ginger Megs video.

P.S. very cute video. Just one of these paintings would be an amazing post itself, but three is such great progress, Akiko!

Ginger Megs is so beautiful! I love the love on Freddy's face, so pensive looking. I agree with Mona, three wonderful paintings in one post is tremendous! You continue to constantly inspire me to do better!

Who knew there was a psycho kitty song!

As always, I am in awe of your painting Akiko-san. You are a national treasure.

LOL! Such a cute video! Love the part where he's watching himself on Youtube.

Akiko, these are beautiful. I love the colors and light in Ginger Megs, and the vantage point of looking up at him. Your Freddy is so regal and sweet. He looks like he's in charge of daily operations (like getting enough play). And your big cat aceo is wonderful.
You are amazing!

Mona thank you. Only the top two are my recent works; the big cat was done last year. I liked it so kept it until now. I have a couple of new cougar ACEOs. :)

Dominique thank you for your visit!!

Gail, thanks! Freddy is very photogenic, so I have nice ref photos of him. Some cats are camera shy and never look at cameras. :( Probably you know what I mean. ;)

Sheila, thanks! Yeah, that's what I was wondering. I didn't know about the cool song called Psycho Kitty.

Liz, thank you for your kind remarks! I love that part, too, at the end of the video. lol

All three paintings are gorgeous as always Akiko, but I have to say Ginger Megs is one of my all time favourites of your artworks - so cheeky and appealing. Freddy is special because he is yours and I love to hear about his job as office manager, and the big cat is wonderful.

Akiko, I'm at a loss for words upon looking at your paintings... so, um, WOW! Beautiful work.

Akiko, Gingers Megs is Gorgeous!!! I want that Kitty. The colors in that piece are so feminine and pretty. Your Freddy story makes me laugh just like many of your humorous paintings. He looks like he can be a tough boss when he has to... that piece has a nice spooky Halloween feeling to it even though there is no orange? Your big cat with it thousands of teeny tiny brush strokes... whew... that is a lot of brushstrokes. Now that I think about it, your total brush strokes must be in the millions by now!!!

Absolutely beautiful, Akiko - the amount of detail is truly astounding.

Doug, thanks for your visit and wonderful comment!!

artbyakiko said...

Alice, Freddy is actually a tough guy. No other cats mess with him, but he turns into a little baby when he is with Curt. lol I'm pretty sure my total brush strokes easily reached a few millions. ;) Thanks for your wonderful comment!

Edward thank you so much! I really appreciate your visit. :)

Akiko!

Three more amazingly rendered cats paintings!

Ginger Megs looks so precious! Beautiful color choices here. The violet background goes so well with the orange-browns in her fur.

Thanks for the "Psycho Kitties" link too! Hilarious!! I was laughing and dancing to the song the whole time watching that clip!

I LOVE the dramatic lighting on Freddy! Mysterious, spooky, dramatic, and super cool all rolled into one.

Fantastic job on these, Akiko!
