Yesterday, I shipped these two paintings to the 34th Annual International Miniature Art Show hosted by Miniature Art Society of Florida (MASF). These are my first entries. If either one of them is accepted for the show, that would be a big accomplishment for me.
I would like to thank Mona Conner for her kind help and encouragement. Please visit her blog. It is filled with her beautiful minatures as well as very helpful information about miniature paintings.

I would be blown away if you don't get accepted Akiko and I do wish you all the best - they are both really beautiful!!!!
Akiko, it's so exciting to see the two of these together! They are both wonderful entries, and re: the help you are most welcome.
I hope at some point you have an opportunity to come down to Florida to see the MASF show in person. It's a great sight seeing over 800 miniatures in person, and really far-reaching in it's scope!
Yay!!! You'll do great! If Mona says you've got the stuff, you know you do. Gambatte!
They are beautiful, as ever! Good luck with the show!
Beautiful, beautiful!!!!!

Akiko, these are wonderful! I'm sure you will be accepted into the show. Best of luck!
I am amazed at the detail in these wee pieces of art.
Both are gorgeous. You are sure to be selected with these beauties. Thanks for showing them framed. It hadn't occurred to me to use a square in a rectangle but it works beautifully. Good luck!
Akiko, these are amazing! I bet that both pieces get accepted, and I bet they both sell!!
I entered too. But now I'm embarassed to say what. ;)
Akiko, got out my calculator and figured the odds of these two pieces NOT being accepted for the MASF show.....73,822,643 to 1. Mona knows...these are superb. p.s. stop by and click the "enjoy the ride" in the corner of my blog.
Akiko!
I've said it before but I'll say it again.
You do amazingly detailed work for pieces that are sooooo small.
I really don't know how you do it!
Good luck with the show!

Two great choices Akiko. I'm sure they will do you proud! I love the expression on "Merle's"face and the detail in both is great. Good luck in the show!
