Title: My Dear Rainbow
Size: 2.5 x 3.5 inches (ACEO)
Medium: Acrylic
Support: Multimedia Artboard
This is my entry for Windows to the Words (WTTW) Art hosted by amazing artist James Parker. The challenge is to create an artwork that is inspired by the selected piece of writing. This Practice One is from a few lines from The Moody Blues song "Lovely to See You":
Lovely to see you again, my friend.
Walk along with me to the next bend
Tell us what you've seen, in faraway, forgotten lands,
Where empires have turned back to sand

A beautiful painting to go with a beautiful song. Love how you do the rainbow!
Ahh, beautiful, love the look on the little fox face and I love the song by the Moody Blues! Just beautiful! :-)
Thank you Gail! I had to throw away two ACEOs because the rainbow didn't work. lol
Jane thank you so much for your kind remarks!
Such a sweet little fox and rainbow. Gosh, I haven't heard that song in such a long time. Thanks for reminding me of it! :-)
Kathlenn thanks! I listened to it for the challenge, and realized that I used to like this song. :)
Love it! The fox's little smile and the rainbow, what a happy painting
The rainbow definitely works Akiko! Lovely!!
This is perfect. You're a story teller at heart and a talent artist who is able to share her wonderful visions with all of us. hugs!
Beautiful work, you have won another blog award, for positive attitude. Drop by and pick it up. Lindax
Whew, Akiko, just got back from the hospital....when I read your comment on the blog, amazing artist, I choked on my coffee...they had to run me in for CPR, ICU, and DUH. The only thing amazing about me is the fact that I can get up in the morning. But thank you for the compliment. I share everyone's opinion on the magic of this piece. And the rainbow, exquisite. If I could paint a rainbow like that, I'd quit my day job, if I had one.
Sam thank you so much!!!
Deb, thanks!!
James lol. You are so funny. I'm glad that you think this fox painting fits the writing. I think the title helps.
Sheila thank you. I'm glad that you think the painting goes with the story.
Linda thank you so much!!! I will come get it!
Linda and I both think alike...you are truly an inspiration!
The lemonade award is yours from me also (positive attitude blog award) so come and pick it up :-)
Gail, thanks! Your support means a lot to me.
Akiko! That is THE BEST art rendition of a rainbow I've EVER seen! This is a wonderful piece! I'm glad you're participating in JP's blog, I was wondering and waiting about what it was going to be like.
Erika thank you. I wanted to add more rainbow colors, but run out of space, as you can see. :( I hope you will join this challenge.
Wonderful job on the WTTW. I hope to try the challenge, but I always procrastinate. You, on the other hand, are quick and clever...just like a fox! :)
It's beautiful!
Hi Michelle, thank you for dropping by and leaving a nice comment on my fox. I hope to see your creation for WTTW.
